Between constant transitions from the harsh Winter winds to the drying indoor heaters, your hair has become more fragile, and dehydrated. Changing your hair care in the Winter to suit the change in season is crucial to maintaining healthy hair and scalp.

We’ve heard that before. Just like dressing appropriately for the cold weather you should protect your hair just as much. Your focus should be on making your scalp happy and healthy, in particular.
During the cold months, especially those days that drop below freezing, your scalp is drier and itchier than ever, and the moisture zapping heaters can leave your hair feeling dehydrated and brittle. In Winter, our focus is on the scalp, the literal root of hair care.
It’s advised that during these months we avoid ingredients like honey or hydrolyzed wheat protein which, in the summer are perfect for their abilities to pull moisture from the air to hydrate your hair in high humidity, but in the winter it will only further dry your hair, putting your ends at risk of more damage.
Use a shampoo that nourishes your scalp and hair with a blend of active natural ingredients such as Shea Butter, a moisturizing agent that doesn’t leave a greasy residue. Camellia Extract, an antioxidant that soothes dry scalps, and Pomegranate Oil, which improves blood flow, is known to strengthen hair and is a super antioxidant.

Your routine for hair care doesn’t stop there, it’s strongly recommended that a weekly deep conditioning treatment is used to ensure you’re giving your hair a boost of strength and elasticity to restore damage from the elements. Use a quarter-sized amount and massage with care into your hair, mid-length to ends and leave on for 2-5 minutes, then rinse as normal.
